After our training at the Church Office Building we headed back to West Jordan to do our laundry and pack the car for our trip across the country. Packing the car was going to be a challenge, but I knew that Elder Rose would be able to do it with no problems. I had taken pictures of the car as he had done a pre- pack and so he looked at the pictures and did his best to follow the same loading. When he was done I said we could fit my sewing machine in and he gave me that “look” then said if I really found that I needed a sewing machine we would buy a little one there.
Kim and the kids came down to help us and play in the back yard for one last time, then it was off to one last dinner with Kim, the kids and Kyle and his roommate Hobbie. We had a wonderful time talking and laughing and enjoying our time together. We had taken Lisa and Leon out to dinner the week before went into the MTC, and Jessica and Greg were in DC already so we wouldn’t be able to take them out to dinner again for 2 years.
After dinner we came back to the house and Kim helped me with my blog, (she is now an administrator and can help me from Heber while I am in Maryland).
Then said good bye to Kyle, Kim, and the Kids for a little while. Kyle will be coming out for Thanksgiving and Christmas, Kim and the kids hope to come out during spring break, so we will have some family here while we serve.
