We got up early and had a wonderful breakfast with our friends from the Oquirrah Temple who are serving a mission at the Nauvoo Temple. Elder and Sister Andelin joined us for Breakfast. It was fun to see them and exchange mission moments. They travel 1 and 1/2 hours one way to attend church every Sunday. Each of the missionaries that serve there in Nauvoo are assigned branches to help with. They are loving every minute and hope to extend their 6 month mission to a full year one.
Then we packed up our bags and checked out of the cute hotel room where we stayed at the Old Nauvoo Hotel. IT was a tiny room but had lots of personality and was clean and comfortable. The winding staircase was very narrow and lots of fun to get the bags up and down but Elder Rose handled that part for both of us.
Then over to the temple to do a session at the restored Nauvoo Temple, the spirit was so strong and we both enjoyed our time there. The Andelin’s told us about the reception center across from the temple where we were able to change our clothes in our “P” day clothes and begin our drive to Indiana where we would spend the night.
